Tondo -2011 - ongoing

Anticipating the birth of our first child, my wife and I had a series of conversations discussing the tenets that we wanted to impart on our children. Reflecting on experiences that had shaped me, I realized that some of the most profound events in my life involved a natural landscape and I wanted to foster this appreciation in our children.  

With this series I wanted to return to the "Source", the Natural World.  I started with a graphite drawing of Lake Michigan and my focus has sharpened into a series that examines a more intimate and holistic perspective of these personally significant environments.
